Carnegie Abbey - Due to a large interest with limited space to the EWGA’s introduction to Carnegie Abbey, a “pick-from-the-hat” method will be used for this 9-hole event!
Carnegie Abbey, Portsmouth, RI (Members only 9-hole event) Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Registration begins at 3:30 with a 4:00 tee time. LIMIT 16 PLAYERS. Price - $85, includes use of locker room, 9-holes of golf, cart and forecaddie. Important Note: Players are to also stay for dinner at restaurant following golf (meal and gratuity paid by individual). Either a menu will be developed for our use or we will participate with the club’s family fun night. The course will decide this detail. (Vegetarian options will be available if desired).
Method: Please e-mail Carol Koper your interest and contact information (e-mail and phone #) in playing by July 27 at carol_k_mail@yahoo.com (phone: 215.872.7876). On July 28, the 16 names will be pulled from a hat. Those lucky members will be contacted by e-mail and phone on July and be asked to submit payment by July 31. On August 3, those members within the first 16 on the list who have not paid will forfeit the opportunity for this date and the next names on the list will be contacted. This method was chosen to ensure the 16 spots are filled and all have fair opportunity to participate in this unique and very pleasant opportunity!
Putts for Paws - August 19, 2010 at Alpine Country Club, Cranston, RI. Event is open to members and non-members. $130 members/$145 non-members, includes 18 holes with cart, lunch, dinner prizes and a donation to the RISPCA Marvin Fund and the Potter's League for Animals. Format is a modified scramble.
